Add some wording to build your sign
Cutting & assembly
- Use a CO2 laser (xTool P2, P2S or P3). Diode lasers can't cut or engrave clear acrylic.
- Use cast acrylic for the sign. Clear and frosted sheets engrave a crisp frosted white; coloured sheets engrave a lighter, matte version of their colour, so paint-fill light colours for contrast. Extruded acrylic engraves faint and gummy.
- Leave the protective film on while cutting. Peel it where you engrave, or engrave the bare back face with Engrave on back so the front stays glossy.
- Red lines cut, black fills engrave, blue lines are placement guides. Run the guides as a light line engrave, or at very low power so they only score the film.
- Raised letters and cut-out decor are cut from 3 mm (1/8 in) sheet. Glue each piece inside its guide with a clear adhesive that's safe for mirror acrylic; solvent cement can attack the mirror backing.
- Every line has its own Space above it. Go below 0 to tuck a line into the one above, or drag a line up or down in Design view. Overlapping lines are welded into one piece, so they cut and glue as one.
- Faux decor goes anywhere on the bottom half, and can hang off the bottom edge: drag it in Design or 3D view, drag a corner handle to resize, or the round handle to rotate. Florals show where real faux stems go (attach them last; the readme lists each one's size and spot). Cut-out shapes are cut in a finish like the lettering.
